Content | The Tamar Development Project comprises the Central Government Complex which will house personnel in units with core policy formulation contents; the LegCo Complex; and an Open Space of not less than two hectares. |

Impact | Sufficient toilets are provided for both female and male users. Breastfeeding facilities are provided in the Central Government Complex, the LegCo Complex and the open space. Improvement to the design of layout is considered having regard to the needs of user of different genders. Suitable construction materials (e.g. non-reflecting materials) are used having considered the concern of female users. |
Success Factor / Lessons Learned | The application of gender mainstreaming concept has increased the gender awareness and sensitivity of the staff of Administration Wing and ArchSD as well as the contractors involved in the Tamar Development Project. |
