Seminar on Gender Mainstreaming and Good Human Resource Management

The Women’s Commission (WoC) and the Workplace Consultation Promotion Division of the Labour Department co-organised the Seminar on Gender Mainstreaming and Good Human Resource Management on 22 June 2018. Around 180 Gender Focal Points from District Councils, non-governmental organisations in social welfare sector and among listed companies (or the representatives from their company / organisation), members of the Human Resources Managers’ Clubs, and representatives from trade unions of small and medium enterprises attended.

During the Seminar, Ms. CHAN Yuen-han, the Chairperson of WoC, delivered opening remarks. Ms. Yvonne YEUNG Kin-ha, Chief Executive of Hong Kong Young Women’s Christian Association and Member of WoC, delivered a keynote speech on “Gender Mainstreaming – Ways to Unleash Potential in the Workplace”. Mr. Lawrence CHU, Executive Director and Principal Trainer of Hong Kong Society of Professional Training, delivered a keynote speech on “Effective Communication: Handling of Verbal Violence at Work”.
