Gathering with Gender Focal Points in District Councils

To promote gender mainstreaming and deepen the contacts with the Gender Focal Points (GFPs) in District Councils (DCs), the Labour and Welfare Bureau (LWB) and the Women’s Commission (WoC) had a gathering with the GFPs in DCs at Central Government Offices on 1 June 2016. Miss Annie Tam, the Permanent Secretary for Labour and Welfare, and Mrs. Stella Lau, the WoC Chairperson, briefed the GFPs the work of LWB and WoC, including the promotion of gender mainstreaming, the implementation of Funding Scheme for Women’s Development, etc., as well as exchanged views with the GFPs on women’s affairs at the district level.
